The Bahá'í Faith is an independent world religion whose purpose is to unite every race, nation, and tribe on earth into one universal Cause and one common Faith. Founded more than a century and a half ago, the Bahá’í Faith has spread around the globe. Members of the Bahá’í Faith live in more than 100,000 localities and come from nearly every nation, ethnic group, culture, profession, and social or economic background.
All humanity is one family
We are united by our belief, there is one God, one human race, and one evolving religion. The Baha'i Faith is a new revelation from God whose goal is to establish world unity. The Bahá’í teachings emphasize that all of us, as creations of one God, are part of one human family.
The religions are one
Throughout history, God has revealed Himself to humanity through a series of divine Messengers, each of Whom has founded a great religion. Each of these great and holy Faiths represent part of the one eternal religion of God which goes on forever.
Moses, Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster, Jesus, Muhammad - each represents a successive stage in the spiritual development of civilization.
No single religion is the exclusive Faith, or the final outpouring of God's holy word and truth. Each religion is the one Message from God for that age in which it appears. Each represents the only truth for that particular age...yet it is not final. Bahá'u'lláh, the most recent Messenger in this line, has brought teachings that address the moral and spiritual challenges of the modern world.
"...the fundamentals of religion are intended to unify and bind together;
their purpose is universal, everlasting peace..."

Women & Men; the Wings of One Bird
'Humanity is like a bird with its two wings -- the one is male, the other female. Unless both wings are strong and impelled by some common force, the bird cannot fly heavenwards. According to the spirit of this age, women must advance and fulfil their mission in all departments of life, becoming equal to men. They must...enjoy equal rights.'
